Hyperliquid Eyes Decentralized Prediction Markets in HIP-4 Upgrade
Hyperliquid is planning to expand its platform with decentralized prediction markets through a new protocol upgrade called HIP-4.
Hyperliquid, one of the hottest names in on-chain perpetuals trading, is setting its sights on a new frontier: decentralized prediction markets. The platform is planning to roll out the feature as part of an upgrade dubbed HIP-4, a move that could significantly broaden what traders can do directly on-chain without touching a centralized intermediary.
Prediction markets have been a growing force in crypto, letting users bet on real-world outcomes — from elections to economic data — using decentralized infrastructure. If Hyperliquid pulls this off, it would be stacking a compelling new product type on top of an already aggressive derivatives offering, giving traders even more reasons to keep their capital on the platform.
